Origin

late Middle English (in the sense ‘representing many individuals’): from Old French collectif, -ive or Latin collectivus, from collect- ‘gathered together’, from the verb colligere.

We are a creative collective that aims to promote interest in coastal landscapes. We will publish output influenced by the sea and coastline; writing, photography, journals, art and physical artefacts.

We are interested in the interaction between landscape and human thought/behaviour. In this sense we are following in the footsteps of writers like Rousseau, Guy Debord, Robert Macfarlane and Rebecca Solnit who have written in a 'psychogeographical' manner.

We are promoting an inclusive approach to writing. We are also planning to promote well-being and sustainable behaviours through projects & events that we run.
